The delivery of a Christmas tree from the tree farm
to a tree lot, versus to your front door, is much different.
Many Christmas tree farmers apply artificial green colorant
to cover up dried needles and make their trees look fresher.
Most trees are harvested 6 to 10 weeks prior to being
sold, then shipped hundreds of miles on an open semi, further drying
out the branches.
After being harvested, most trees are wrapped tightly
with twine allowing them to be shipped with hundreds or thousands
of other trees packed onto the back of a semi truck. This can break
limbs and damage trees and can also give them an unnatural appearance
once you open them.
This application of artificial colorants, early cutting,
and damage in transit, gives you a low quality tree, that is almost
guaranteed to lose its needles prematurely and quickly lose its wonderful
fragrance.
Your fraser fir tree from T. Saunders' Farm
will always have its natural color, will be harvested 3-7 days before
it arrives at your home, and is hand packed to ensure safe and damage-free
transit. So you get a fresh, fragrant, attractive tree, with little
effort and no extra cost! And, they make great gifts!
